Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which exhibits a low rate of decrease in luminance immediately after the start of light emission.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has, on a substrate, a pair of electrodes composed of an anode and a cathode, a light-emitting layer between the electrodes, and at least one organic layer between the light-emitting layer and the anode. The at least one organic layer between the light-emitting layer and the anode contains at least one specific compound containing a fluorene structure. The light-emitting layer contains as a light-emitting material at least one specific compound containing a carbazole structure or a fluorene structure.
